An online meeting of the ANMA executive members was held on January 15, 2011. There were 13 members present. Various concurrent topics were discussed. The main highlights and resolution of the meetings are below.
Recruiting ANMA life members for effective reach-out and financial strength. Life member fee is $250. Eleven people in the meeting committed to become ANMA life members and decided to approach other friends. Executive members were assigned as regional coordinators to contact, coordinate and participate in different Nepalese social and other organization in ANMA region.
Sarala Pandey and Ankur Sharma were requested to lead culture and publication committees.
A committee led by Anita Adhikari with members Rajendra Khatiwada and Bishnu Phuyal was formed for publishing ANMA prepared Immigration booklet in Nepali language. One of the proposed idea is that this work will be coordinated with NRN NCC USA and the published booklet will be kept at US Embassy in Kathmandu to be distributed to Nepalese immigrating to USA.
The ANMA publication view point will be published four times every year and the monthly Chicago Chautari Times will be combined during those times.
ANMA Bylaws amendment, progress on Nepali American Center, initiation to create ANMA Virtual Library (books and materials of Nepalese cultural, religion and social), etc, were other agendas discussed in the meeting.
