News Flash : NRN NCC of USA New Executive Committee (2011-12) Meeting - January 8, 2011

An oath taking ceremony and first meeting of the new Board of Directors of the NRN NCC USA was held in New York on January 8, 2011. The board consisted of six executive members with Mr. Suman Timsina as the president. Similarly there are nineteen Board of Directors representing different region, social groups and other Nepalese organization in USA.

Dr. Bishnu Phuyal is one of the Board of Director from Chicago. Nepal’s UN Ambassador Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya was present in the function. Importance for the coordination of all Nepalese Charitable projects in Nepal by any Nepalese social and other organization in USA with NRN NCC USA, recruitment of NRN NCC USA membership for the organization to be strong and effective and initiation of various charitable projects were the highlights of the meeting and discussions. Among a few others, commitment for continuous support for 50% day-to-day expenses of NRNA established Devghat Briddhashram (approximately $14000 per year), Swyambhu White Wash Project, Establishing and Supporting a School for Route tribe were main topic discussed.  Bylaws amendment, continuous involvement to coordinate with all Nepalese regional and local level organizations and NRNA ICC, continues need for transparency of operation were other topics discussed in the meeting.
